Social Justice Ministry Book Discussion
Monday evenings in February: February 7, 14, 21, and 28 from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.
A New Way to Be Church: Parish Renewal from the Outside In (2018) by Jack Jezreel, Senior Advisor for JustFaith Ministries, Master of Divinity from Notre Dame University, Orbis Books.
You are invited to the Social Justice Ministry Book Discussion for the reading and discussion of Jack Jezreel’s challenge to us as a community:
If the Church is ever going to understand a dynamic communion with God and actualize its full potency as a force for good, it will happen only when the church is at the center of the work of compassion and justice, and the work of compassion and justice is at the center of the parish.
As Jezreel writes, we are all called to be vessels of God’s healing, both as individuals and as a community through the providing for needs of the daily lives of our brothers and sisters. In this book, Jezreel shows us how we are gifted with a mission and the means to live this mission and we are all in need of each other.
Join us on Monday evenings in February on ZOOM from 7:00-8:15 PM., and invite your friends. Used copies can be ordered on-line for as little as $4.49.
Zoom link for the discussion will be sent to all registrants prior to the first session.
